Please note, arriving early does not necessarily mean you will be admitted earlier. Patient admissions are prioritised based on the surgeon’s operating list. What to bring and what to leave at home Prepare for your hospital stay with our handy list of what you will need for your hospital stay. Review list > Paying for your stay You will need a credit card or means to pay for any out-of-pocket expenses. We accept: major credit cards (except Diners and American Express) EFTPOS bank cheques personal cheques will only be accepted up to the value of $500. Please note: a surcharge of 1.5% will be applied to all credit card transactions We will take an imprint of your credit card at admission to cover any incidentals or other items not covered by your private health fund. The imprint will be held securely until your account has been finalised. Preparing yourself Please shower on the day of your admission, before coming to hospital. Do not wear talcum powder, jewellery, perfumes or makeup.
