Lung cancer services

Our Lung Service manages all lung disease, to improve our patients’ quality of care, clinical outcomes and their chance of survival.

Treating lung cancer

Lung cancer management is becoming increasingly complex, has a very wide range of symptoms, speed of growth and patterns of local and distant spread. Many patients have other health problems such as pulmonary and heart disease. These factors, together with the individual circumstances of a patient, pose a unique challenge to clinical teams charged with their care.

We have a multidisciplinary team comprising expert clinicians in:

  • respiratory medicine
  • thoracic surgery
  • medical and radiation oncology
  • pathology
  • radiology
  • palliative care
  • lung cancer nursing.
