Your appointment

Booking an appointment

You need a referral from your GP or specialist to book an appointment. When you have your referral, contact us to make a time that suits you.

Tel: 07 3350 6633 Fax: 07 3326 3636

Opening hours 8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday

If your symptoms change, or you are worried about the timing of your appointment, please contact your referring doctor who will contact the Breast Health Centre if a more urgent appointment is required.

What to bring on appointment day

Please remember to bring your referral and any previous breast screening imaging and results you may have. Your previous images will help us to detect any recent changes.

It is a good idea to wear a two-piece outfit for your own comfort.

Your visit may involve some waiting so please bring along a book or something to help occupy your time.

Please call us if you have any enquiries, if you wish to change your appointment, or if you are unable to attend.

Your appointment – how it works

We offer a breast screening and diagnostic service. Your screening may involve one or more of the following – a breast examination, mammogram, ultrasound or other procedures.

The results of your investigations are discussed with you prior to you leaving the clinic. These results will also be sent to your referring doctor.

The cost of our services

We are a private breast screening service, so you will incur some out-of-pocket expenses. You may be able to claim a portion of that money back on Medicare – please discuss this with our receptionists when you book your appointment.
