Dr Maree Colosimo, Medical Oncologist


Dr Colosimo is the Medical Chair of the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Centre.

She specialises in breast cancer with a strong focus on survivorship. She is also currently involved in translational research.

She graduated with Honors from Monash University in 1992.

In 1995, she moved to Queensland and commenced specialist training in oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Colosimo has worked as an oncologist at Mater, Royal Brisbane and Women’s, and Princess Alexandra Hospitals in Brisbane and regional Queensland.

Dr Colosimo established her own private practice in 2001. She has a strong clinical background and regularly participates in multidisciplinary breast cancer team meetings in Brisbane.

Dr Po Inglis, Medical Oncologist


She is involved in breast educational activities amongst her peers and in the community.

Dr Inglis has specialised in breast cancer since 2009. She joined the medical community at Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital in 2010, and also holds a public appointment at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

She has worked at the Hanson Centre for Cancer where she undertook projects looking at the molecular pathways of breast cancer development, and is currently involved in local translational research and international clinical breast cancer studies.

Dr Inglis like all the specialists has been actively involved in establishing the Holy Spirit Northside Breast Health Service.

Dr Rick Abraham, Medical Oncologist


Dr Abraham is passionate about clinical research and has a major interest in the treatment of breast, lung, urological and gastro-intestinal tract malignancy.

Dr Rick Abraham is a Medical Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Physician who graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1985.

Dr Abraham trained in medical oncology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s, and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. He then completed a postgraduate clinical research fellowship at the University of Toronto in the Autologous Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit (breast cancer program) investigating high dose chemotherapy strategies to treat high-risk adjuvant and metastatic disease patients.

Whilst in Canada, he also completed a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology exploring the relationship between hereditary ovarian cancer and outcomes following chemotherapy.

On his return to Brisbane, Dr Abraham was appointed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and The Prince Charles Hospital as a staff specialist in oncology.

He has been heavily involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. He has also been a lead investigator for numerous major international trials.

Dr Abraham left the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to pursue full-time private practice in 2012.
