Holy Spirit Northside Private Hospital is well-equipped with the latest technologies to deliver the most innovative and comprehensive care for patients with complex diseases of the heart.
We are fortunate to work with pioneering specialists who are continually seeking opportunities to enhance their skills and share their knowledge. This knowledge sharing aimed to improve patient outcomes, was the reason HSNPH proudly hosted the 2nd Asia Pacific Heart Valve Forum.
The 2nd Asia Pacific Heart Valve Forum held in March 2013 brought 200 delegates to the Sofitel in Brisbane for a two day conference featuring many leading international cardiac specialists discussing a wide range of heart valve therapies.
The conference is a bi-annual event with Dr Trevor Fayers, HSNPH Cardiac Surgeon, Director of Cardiac Surgery and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee, one of three international doctors on the organising committee.
The topic this year was “Heart Valve Therapies- A Team Approach”.
A team approach is optimal in this modern era of cardiac therapies, where a multidisciplinary team of cardiac specialities combine to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient. Both the International and Local Faculty who were carefully selected ensured by the end of the meeting, all delegates had a greater knowledge and understanding of this collaborative model of care.
HSNPH General Manager Daniele Doyle said, “We recognise the success of these types of events relies upon the collaboration of many remarkable people, including our distinguished guest speakers, cardiac experts and industry professionals. We are equally proud that this same collaborative approach is the foundation on which our hospital delivers exceptional care and health outcomes to our patients”.
