To fulfil our mission of providing compassionate and innovative care, we know that it is important to ensure that our staff keep abreast of current evidence-based best practice within healthcare.
We offer our staff ongoing education through peer-related national conferences, in-house training, postgraduate scholarships and support for external professional development.
Many of our internal programs are endorsed by our partner universities.
To ensure our undergraduate nurses gain valuable evidence-based knowledge, skills and clinical learning experiences, we also partner with four tertiary institutions.
We have a long association with the University of Queensland (UQ) as the Northside Clinical School of UQ School of Nursing. Close relationships are also held with the Australian Catholic University, the University of Tasmania and Brisbane TAFE. Our staff works closely with each of these organisations to ensure we support the learning needs of the students.
St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside offers a Graduate Nursing Program for nurses who have recently completed their undergraduate degree. This program is offered twice per year and provides individualised and structured learning to allow beginning practitioners to develop their knowledge and clinical skills.
